Zsombor Czeglédi is a Hungarian multimedia artist and visual designer whose work moves between performing arts, moving image, photography and contemporary visual art. His practice brings together animation, projection, live camera systems, real-time graphics and interactive technologies, with a particular interest in the dramaturgical and spatial role of digital media in performance.
Shortly before completing his BA in Media Design at Budapest Metropolitan University, he joined the Hungarian State Opera, where he has been working ever since, creating visual and multimedia designs for numerous productions. He has also directed several of the Hungarian State Opera’s major marketing films. In 2026, he received his master’s degree summa cum laude from Budapest Metropolitan University.
Alongside his work at the Opera, he has contributed to productions across Hungary and internationally, including at the Deutsches Theater Berlin and Residenztheater München, while maintaining an independent artistic practice beyond the stage.
His work across performance and visual art has received several professional recognitions, including the Gusztáv Oláh Commemorative Plaque, while productions featuring his visual work have also been honoured with multiple theatre and festival awards.
